Naturipe chooses Berry and Bright to highlight berries during the Christmas holidays

The proposal will be available between mid-November and the end of December, with formats for blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, and seeks to reinforce the visibility of the category in retail during one of the busiest periods of the year.

Naturipe Farms presents Berry and Bright, a limited-edition packaging campaign for the holiday season, designed to reinforce the presence of berries on the table during the holidays.

The packaging features berries wearing Christmas sweaters and includes bilingual labeling, allowing these seasonal formats to be marketed in Canada as well. Berry and Bright was developed to stand out in a produce section with numerous consumer choices, adding a touch of cheer and familiarity to a product that already enjoys widespread popularity.

The formats will be available from mid-November to the end of December and will include blueberries in pint and 18-ounce clamshells, blackberries in 6- and 12-ounce containers, and raspberries in 6- and 12-ounce presentations.

“Berries have always had a place on the table during the holidays, but there is an opportunity to make that connection even more visible in the produce section,” said Jim Roberts, president of Naturipe Farms.

“Berry and Bright is a playful, colorful and seasonal offering, but it also gives our retail partners something important: a berry program they can rely on during a particularly busy time of year,” he added.

The company presented Berry and Bright as one of its featured new products during this year's edition of the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce & Floral Show (IFPA), where retailers and industry partners were able to see the new packaging for the holiday season for the first time.

“Seasonal merchandising is about offering consumers something that captures their attention and makes the shopping experience a little more entertaining,” said Ashley Finster, vice president of marketing at Naturipe Farms.

“We wanted Berry and Bright to convey a festive image without overwhelming the product presentation. The sweaters, vibrant colors, and playful design do the work of capturing consumers’ attention, while the bilingual labels allow the packaging to connect with an even wider audience,” he explained.

Berry and Bright packaging will be available in limited quantities from mid-November through the end of December. Naturipe recommends that retailers interested in incorporating the seasonal program into their stores place their orders in advance.
