UNA works to export our fresh products to the eastern market. The path is outlined and negotiations with Asia have begun to lead to improved profitability and add new development opportunities to the agricultural sector.

The negotiations of UNA (Association of the Union of Farmers of Almería) to bring their fruits and vegetables to Asia are at a crucial moment, everything is ready to start.

First, Hicham Nader, CEO of DHL Spain, who fully supports the initiative by putting his fleet of aircraft throughout Europe at the service of the project; has declared that the Almería airport is ready and meets all the requirements to start the export. In addition, as an outstanding fact, it indicated that transport costs will be lower than that corresponding to the routes that transport product to America.

Negotiations with China

The relationship between the heads of UNA, DHL and Fruitconsulting, an export consultancy to Asia, is close and they will work with determination to reach a successful conclusion.

On the other hand, negotiations with China are scheduled for October, and it is even possible to advance the indicated date.

Contact with the main embassies of Asian countries is possible due to the relationship between farmers belonging to UNA, due to diverse circumstances, and of course, due to the journey of Oliver Huesman, from Fruitconsulting, who is willing to be part of the draft.

Communication and Relationship

Promoting and ensuring permanent and fluid communication, in addition to future negotiations, with the main countries of this continent, is a primary objective for UNA in accordance with its reason for being.

To this cooperation, we add the preparation of the future and very important conference for the sector, which will be held in the El Ejido town hall, co-organized by UNA and Cajamar, which will undoubtedly have the support of more companies in the sector. Yesterday at noon Alberto Martínez, Iñaki Sáez and Jesús Fuentes from UNA; David Figueredo, commercial director of La Unión; the president of Coexphal, Juan Antonio González Real and Hicham Nader, general director of DHL Spain; They got together to put on the board the necessary pieces to carry out this action.
