The Peruvian economy would grow 4,8% next year driven by the increase in private family and business spending, the advance of exports, in an environment of greater control due to the pandemic due to the advance of vaccination, indicated the dean of the Business School from the Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN), Augusto Cáceres.

"Peruvian foreign trade between the months of January and August reached 34.365 million dollars, 44,6% more compared to the previous year. This means one of the highest growth rates in the world ”, he indicated.

He said that the result is due to higher shipments of traditional products, mainly mineral and non-traditional.

He also indicated that the reestablishment of demand in traditional and non-traditional sectors such as agriculture, textiles and fishing, increase logistics competitiveness, job creation and economic reactivation, exposing the Peruvian economy favorably to international markets.

"The determining factors in the recovery of exports are the growth of world demand from the United States and China, our main markets, progress in vaccination, and the diversified supply of healthy and sustainable foods, where Peru manages to position itself as a supplier important in blueberries, avocados, asparagus among others ”, he pointed out.
