Agrovision and Greenvic expand their alliance to China
Chile-based Greenvic has revealed that it will enter into a strategically aligned equity partnership with Agrovision China, the Shanghai-based marketing and sales platform of berry and table grape supplier Agrovision.
By joining forces, Greenvic and Agrovision China said they would “significantly improve” service to Chinese retail, e-commerce and wholesale supply channels with a broader product portfolio and ensure a longer and more dynamic supply season.
Agrovision launched Agrovision China in 2022 and now operates as a full-service local sales and marketing company.
“This in itself provides a holistic and strategically advantageous view of the market, and access to leading retail in China,” the group said.

The Chinese market has expanded rapidly for Agrovision, he noted, and the company also recently announced plans to build agricultural operations in Yunnan province.
Under the Maiyili (Big Skye) brand, Agrovision's Chinese team has already added new sales channels to several leading Chinese retailers and secured well-equipped warehouse facilities for value-added services, he confirmed.
Agrovision China and Greenvic will widely market their combined product ranges, and the agreement will strengthen Agrovision's strategic supply/availability connection between South America and the Chinese market, while providing Greenvic with access to an established sales and distribution model.
Greenvic already grows premium Sekoya blueberries for Agrovision under license in a new 350 hectare production partnership. For more than 30 years, it has grown and exported high-quality fruit from some of Chile's top producing regions, much of it organic.
Today, it is widely respected as a grower, packer, exporter and licensee of varieties of cherries, blueberries, stone fruits, grapes and other fruits.
“There is a clear synergy between Agrovision and Greenvic,” said John Early, global sales director at Agrovision. ”We share a dedication to ensuring that every piece of fruit is grown, picked and transported with incredible care.
“We are both passionate about investing in new premium genetics and maintain a strong commitment to corporate and social responsibility. “It is a pleasure to collaborate with a partner who shares our values and we are excited to expand this relationship.”
Greenvic head of sales Daniel Portaluppi said gaining access to the Chinese market was a key long-term strategic benefit for Greenvic as the expansion of its alliance strengthened its presence in the country.
“Expanding and consolidating our presence in the Chinese market is a key long-term strategic objective for Greenvic, and expanding our alliance with Agrovision will be a great step towards achieving this,” he explained.
“Together we will be able to offer a unique portfolio of products focused on premium fruits and genetics, making the combined offering a great option for our customers.”
Agrovision and Greenvic added that they had already begun exploring additional opportunities.
