Chile, first in the world in blueberries

In blueberries, Chile is, by far, the world's top one, with 87.194 tons exported for US $ 548 million, in 2015, according to Trade Map data.And in those numbers China has a lot to say: in 2015 it completed shipments by 5.749 tons for US $ 37,8 millions, and in the first half of this year the country has already exported 3.737 tons for an amount of US $ 34,1 millions. Of course, the Chinese market is also targeted by the other producing countries. Now Uruguay is waiting for the Chinese health authorities to be able to complete their first shipment. They hope that the visit will take place in October. In the meantime, the trade union authorities of that country prepare, together with the Argentine ones, the World Congress of this fruit, which will take place in September in Concordia, Argentina, and in Salto, Uruguay.
