Chilean blueberry exports grow 11% so far in the 2024-2025 season

The cumulative volume of Chilean blueberry exports reached 83.321 tons so far in the 2024-2025 season, which meant an 11% growth compared to the 2023-2024 period and a 1% drop compared to 2022-2023.

According to the latest Crop Report from the Chilean Fruit Blueberry Committee, by the fifth week a total of 8.018 tons were transported to international markets, with the United States being the main destination, accounting for 64% of shipments, followed by the Netherlands (21%) and the United Kingdom (6%).

It should be noted that the initial projection for week 5 was 75.367 tons, which would indicate that exports - to date - are 10% above expectations.

According to the figures published in the report, 79.327 tons were exported by sea and 2.552 tons by air, which translated into an increase of 15% and a decrease of 39%, respectively.

Specifically, up to week 5, 34.517 tons have been moved to the United States, 30.651 tons to the Netherlands, 5.665 tons to the United Kingdom, 5.472 tons to South Korea and 7.016 tons were distributed among multiple nations.
