The Hortifrut Technology and Innovation Fair returns in June
The third version of this initiative, focused on the national agro industry, is

The next June 18 was the day set for the opening day of the third version of the Hortifrut Technology and Innovation Fair, which will run until the 19 of the same month. This initiative, organized by the global business platform linked to the berries industry, seeks to become a vanguard space, at the service of the national agricultural industry.
"As a Family Hortifrut, we want to motivate our producers to incorporate technological and innovative products that allow them to obtain competitive advantages and overcome their borders. That is the great objective of this edition, "affirmed the general manager of Hortifrut Chile, Ramiro Soffia.
This year the fair will be held at the Espacio Riesco Convention Center in Santiago, and will be attended by the main leaders of the agricultural industry, as well as authorities and representatives of entrepreneurship and innovation. An example of this is that in the last version, carried out in the 2016 year, the person in charge of closing the event was the president of the Institute for Global Futures, James Canton, considered by The Economist as one of the main global futurists. Canton is a former executive of Apple Inc. and has advised three White House administrations in the United States and more than 100 companies around the world.
It is worth mentioning that in the previous versions the fair had the presence of important speakers as the innovation expert, Gabriel Gurovich or Iván Vera, one of the founders and directors of the ICARE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Circle, as well as industry leaders as the president of ASOEX, Ronald Bown; the director of Fedefruta, Ramón Achurra; the engineer and agronomist at the Catholic University of Chile, Gonzalo Jordán, among others. Likewise, in previous years companies and institutions such as Corfo, INIA, Oxyion, Syngenta, WiseConn, Maersk Company, Agroid, AgrinovaII, BBC Technologies, Stoller, Quimetal, WHS Australia and Bayer have participated.
