Peru's agricultural export offer reached 145 markets in 2024, four more than the previous year
In 2024, Peruvian agricultural exports reached US$ 12.784 million, showing an increase of +22.1% compared to the US$ 10.469 million reported in 2023, reported the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
He explained that traditional agricultural shipments totaled US$ 1.230 billion (+26.7%), while agricultural and/or agro-industrial shipments amounted to US$ 11.553 billion (+21.6%).
He added that, in 2024, Peru's agricultural export supply reached 145 markets, four more than the previous year (141 countries).
The main agro-exporting company in Peru in 2024 was Camposol, with shipments of US$ 494 million, showing an increase of +46%, maintaining its privileged place in the ranking. This company sent its products to 32 markets and accounted for 3.86% of total agro-exports.
Machu Picchu Foods is next with shipments of US$ 371 million, registering an increase of +125.5%, explained by the good price of cocoa in the international market. This company climbed 5 positions in the ranking of the main agro-exporting companies and shipped to 37 countries.
Virú with US$ 280 million (+17%) and Danper Trujillo with US$ 278 million (+21.3%) were ranked third and fourth among the main agro-exporting companies. Both fell one place in the ranking.
In fifth and sixth place were the Beta Agroindustrial Complex with US$ 260 million (+14%) and Hortifrut with US$ 212 million (+43.9%). The first fell one position and the second climbed two positions.
Ecosac Agrícola with shipments of US$ 193 million (+12.5%), Agrovision with US$ 192 million (+13.9%), Sociedad Agrícola Rapel with US$ 179 million (+12.2%) and Vitapro with US$ 179 million (-12.85), complete the ranking of the 10 main agro-exporting companies in Peru in 2024.
