AgroBerries celebrates 30 years of growth: from Chile to global markets
Founded in Chile in 1996, AgroBerries has grown into a global berry company with a presence in various markets and regions throughout the entire supply chain. The anniversary served to celebrate this journey and, at the same time, to look ahead to what the company can achieve together over the next 30 years.
The group featured a special appearance by Jorge Valdano, World Cup champion with Argentina and former player and director of Real Madrid, who shared insights on leadership, communication, humility, and teamwork, highlighting how local talent and strong relationships can drive global success. His reflections on the power of passion, credibility, and simplicity resonated particularly with AgroBerries' journey.
In his closing remarks on success, he highlighted how an international organization operating in different markets, cultures, and throughout the entire berry supply chain can create a "virtuous circle," in which success generates the conditions to continue reaping new achievements.

AgroBerries, driven by people
To close the event, AgroBerries CEO Jorge Varela emphasized the importance of talent and leadership for the group's future: “Genetics doesn't grow on its own. Production doesn't optimize itself. Programs, technology—none of this happens without people. Our journey has taken us from local roots to a global reach, and this has been possible thanks to our people and the relationships we've built. When I think about everything that a single idea and the right people have built over the last 30 years, I'm incredibly excited to imagine what this team can build together over the next 30.”
