Next May 24, this international meeting will be held at the Monticello Convention Center, which will be attended by prominent exhibitors, agricultural authorities, experts in fruit genetics and sustainability.

As an event that has been consolidated within the must-sees of agriculture every year, the 8th Agrotrade Chile 2023 Convention and International Fair will once again bring together the main agricultural players at the Monticello Convention Center around a diverse fair sample, interesting talks and conversation panels.

The activity will address, among others, the challenges of the new fruit genetics, where prominent leaders in varietal improvement will talk about the existing offer and its impact on fruit growing.

"We wanted to focus this eighth version of our Agrotrade, on the projections of the agricultural sector, in a context marked by climatic extremes, economic pressures and conflicts, which strongly affect the world food security scenario where sustainability is essential to achieve a agriculture more resilient to these changes," said the executive director of Viveros de Chile, Maritrini Lapuente.

Indeed, this reunion will convene important leaders and leaders of agricultural work, who will participate in the conversation panels of the event. "We will meet to exchange ideas and project the future of agriculture, going through the latest trends in varieties and rootstocks to boost the growth of the sector," said the president of the union, Cristián Pichuante.

In addition to these benchmarks of the agricultural industry, national and international stands and exhibitors such as nurserymen, suppliers of inputs, services and technologies will be added, in which new genetics for fruit growing, among others, will also be shown.

"Agrotrade is a special instance for fruit growers, as it is aimed at them with relevant guests for the sector and it will undoubtedly be a good opportunity to talk about important issues such as the analysis of the fruit season and the new record for our exports," he commented. Jorge Valenzuela, president of Fedefruta.

Among other topics that Agrotrade 2023 will include, there is "the potential of women as agents of change in agriculture, being protagonists in cross-cutting issues such as associativity and digital literacy, among others, which allow us to move forward and work together to return to the path of turning Chile into an agri-food power”, comments Patricia Benavente, president of the recently formed first Trade Association of Women in Agriculture in Chile – AMAGRO AG.
