Peruvian shipments to Southeast Asia grow 25% in the first weeks of the new blueberry campaign

Of the total exported to the markets of said bloc, 56% was channeled by air, while 44% was by sea.

(Agraria.pe) Shipments abroad of Peruvian blueberries have started the 2023-24 campaign at a good pace, and that is that until the eighth week of this new cycle, exports to Southeast Asia grew by 25%, compared to the same period last season.

Proarándanos explained that a total of 156.765 kilos of the blue berry were sent to this block, which is made up of three markets such as Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. It should be noted that these are the nations with which there are entry agreements for Peruvian remittances in this area of ​​the world, but Indonesia and Vietnam are in the process of negotiation.

The union also reported that of the total exported to these markets, 56% was channeled by air and 44% by sea.

In the 2022-23 campaign, Thailand ranked tenth among the main importing countries of Peruvian blueberries, with 678 tons.
