Exports in 2021
In 2021, exports from La Libertad reached a record US$3.900 billion, which represented an increase of 19% compared to 2020. This is due to the good performance of the sale of fruits, fishery products and minerals.
Precisely, one of the activities that added the most to this growth in 2021 was agro-export, which grew by 14% thanks to the sale of fresh products such as grapes (45%), avocado (37%), ginger (31%), onion (7%) and blueberry (4%).
