Fall Creek incorporates new commercial manager for Peru, Colombia and Ecuador

Julio Zavala Muñoz joined Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc. as business manager for Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. Zavala is responsible for establishing and developing strong relationships with the company's blueberry genetics customers and nurseries in the region, overseeing the implementation and management of new genetic licensing programs, and managing the customer service, sales, and support team for the producers. He is based in Lima, Peru, and reports to Ricardo Polis, Fall Creek's regional director for South America.

Zavala has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and general management positions in local and foreign companies throughout Israel, Spain, Chile, Italy and India in the regional agricultural field in sectors such as nutrition, irrigation, crop protection and banking. Most recently, he was general manager of the fertilizer division at Gat Perú SAC. He is also a part-time visiting professor at the University of Piura.

Zavala trained as an agricultural engineer at the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina and graduated from the master's programs in business administration and senior management at the Business School of the University of Piura (PAD).
