The climatic factors cause that the production of cranberry falls an 17% and the one of raspberry more than one 13%

Raspberry

So far this season until this week, the average price obtained for raspberries is 6,01 euros / kilos, compared to the 5,40 euros / kilos that were obtained on average in the previous campaign until the same week.

In the two previous campaigns, when the 20 week arrived, the 88,5% of the total production of the campaign had been sold on average.

Strawberry

The marketed production of strawberries, which is already at the bottom of the campaign, has decreased by 40% compared to the previous week, according to the data collected in the report. In the five previous seasons, when week twenty arrived, the volume of strawberry marketed was 97% of the total for the season.

The average price received by the farmer for the strawberry packaged in standard format has grown by 12% to 0,77 euros / kilo.

According to data from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Germany, which is the reference for the Observatory, the average price of Spanish strawberries in the German wholesale markets in week 20 of 2018 stood at 1,63 euros / kilo, a 22,7% below the price of the previous week and 26,2% below the price of the same week of the 2016/17 campaign.
