Argentina: A rándano s tucumanos in a German exhibition

About twenty companies producing and exporting blueberries and lemon from the province of Tucumán will participate in Fruit Logística 2016, the most important fruit and vegetable fair in the world, from 3 to 5 in February, in Berlin, Germany.

It will be the seventh consecutive time in which the Province participates in this fair since the Institute of Productive Development of Tucumán (IDEP) is responsible for coordinating each year the commercial mission.

«Our objective is to promote exports, in this case, those of fruit and vegetable producers. Promoting products abroad means searching for and finding business opportunities and that is where our task is directed.", said IDEP executive director Dirk Trotteyn, published La Gaceta de Tucumán.

The commercial mission of Tucumán will be made up of the companies LatinLemon, Diego Zamora and Hijos SRL, Citrusvil SA, SA Veracruz, Diagonal Citrus SRL, Zamagro, All Lemon, Acheral SA, Frutucumán, Pablo Padilla, Trapani Hnos., La Patria, Los Burgaleses SRL and Martínez Navarro (citrus), Earlycrop, Hortifrut / Expofresh, KingBerry, ALIF Distribuciones SRL and PACTA SRL (fine fruit) and All Bridges.

The exhibitors will be located in the 25 Hall, Stand A of the Messe Berlin Complex, while this year Tucumán will have a stand of 400 square meters, a record space.

Meanwhile, the province of Tucumán is a leader in production, industrialization and export of lemon worldwide: in 2015 exported 135.296 tons of fresh lemon, representing an increase of 22,93% with respect to the 2014 campaign.

The fresh tucumano lemon is sold to the European Union (71,95%), rest of Europe (21,79%), Naphtha (3,42%), Asia (2,69%), Africa (0,10%) and Mercosur (0,05%).

While blueberries are harvested from September to November and 2015 Tucumán exported 4.188 tons of this fine fruit, which allowed the province to remain a benchmark and export leader in Argentina.
