Camposol and Agrovision send their first containers of blueberries from Chancay to Shanghai
Camposol and Agrovision highlighted that the new Chancay terminal helps to boost international trade and allows products such as blueberries to reach their destination in much less time, preserving their best qualities in terms of freshness, size and flavor.
Various agricultural export companies are beginning to use the facilities of the recently inaugurated Chancay Megaport to make their shipments to the large Asian market. One of the most recent has been Camposol, which announced the shipment of its first nine containers of blueberries from the new Peruvian terminal to the Chinese port of Shanghai.
“This achievement represents a major step in our mission to bring fresh, high-quality, carefully grown blueberries to strategic markets such as China. It is the result of the joint effort of our entire team, from field work to logistics, reflecting our commitment to excellence, sustainability and the development of our agroindustry,” said Ricardo Naranjo Fernández, interim CEO of Camposol.
The company stressed that this event marks a significant step forward in its goal of “sharing the best of our land with the world,” and emphasized that its blueberries are “grown with care and dedication,” in addition to having been carefully selected to guarantee their freshness, size and exceptional flavor.
Along the same lines, another well-known company in the sector, Agrovision Peru, announced that it has completed its first shipment of 18 containers of blueberries from the Chancay Megaport to the same destination in China.
The fruit is transported on the Xin Shangai 150W ship and constitutes a volume of 230 metric tons of high-quality Peruvian blueberries that will cross the Pacific Ocean in an average of 26 days, that is, 10 days less than before, which will help preserve all of its properties and genuine flavor.
“We are delighted to be part of this achievement that allows for the optimization of trade with the Asian continent,” Agrovision stressed.
