GRAMOFLOR, your strategic partner in top-quality substrates

GRAMOFLOR is a family business with over 100 years of history and based in northern Germany. Founded in 1908 by Anton Gramann as a peat trading company, Gramoflor GmbH & Co. KG it has become a modern company specialized in the production of growing substrates, with a very clear mission and vision: the development of raw materials and alternative products to peat, to produce quality, sustainable and more respectful substrates with the environment.

With about 130 employees in two factories in northern Germany, and a third in Spain, in the Mediterranean region of Valencia, since GRAMOLOR produces high-value substrates for horticulturists, professional gardeners and lovers worldwide.

Since early 2021, GRAMOFLOR has a innovative production plant of substrates located in Valencia. GRAMOFLOR IBÉRICA It has become one of the most modern factories in Europe as it collects all the technical know-how from the German brand, but with the talent and professionalism of the Spanish team.

These innovative facilities have three industrial warehouses and open spaces, with the aim of hosting not only the different storage processes of raw materials, but also the methods of preparation and processing of substrates, And a packaging line The building also houses our offices, which can accommodate more than 20 people and provide all the necessary space to carry out our professional work in a very comfortable and convenient manner.

GRAMOFLOR IBÉRICA It has a mixing plant with nine bunkers for the different raw materials, and ten dispensers for the incorporation of various additives such as fertilizers, biostimulants, surfactants or clays, through which thousands of personalized combinations of substrates can be made, offering a production capacity about 200m3 of substrate/hour.

It is worth highlighting our screening station of peat, through which we are able to separate peat into 4 different fractions/structures, which, when combined in different percentages, offer a wide range of structures in growing substrates.

Also note the fraying machine the LIGONFIBER® or wood fiber, developed in Germany by the technical team of GRAMOFLOR. This machine guarantees an optimal and homogeneous distribution for the perfect incorporation of the LIGNOFIBER® in the subsequent mixing line.

In our new facilities in Valencia, we also have an innovative Volumeter. A precise technology that continuously measures the apparent density of the substrate being manufactured, throughout the entire mixing process, according to the UNE-EN 12580 regulationsThis machine allows us to guarantee the customer the exact volume of substrate purchased according to regulations, and to collect representative samples for later analysis.

In addition, we also want to highlight our own machine for conditioning the gFLAKES®, and through which we prepare and condition the angular raw material in this project, where the rice husk becomes gFLAKES®.

Thanks to all this technology and a team of highly motivated professionals with extensive experience in the sector, from GRAMOFLOR we have developed a series of substrates Perfect for the most demanding crops with brilliant results, thus offering the guarantee of healthy and strong growth.

With all this, in GRAMOLOR IBÉRICA We are proud to be able to ship any type of substrate or combination possible around the world, guaranteeing the quality, consistency, service, and rigor we have been offering for over 100 years from our German facilities.
