Fresón de Palos has consolidated its position among the top 5 favorite brands among Spanish consumers for the second consecutive year.
Huelva/Strawberry of Palos It reaffirms itself as the most chosen berry brand in Spain, according to the report Brand Footprint 2025 of Kantar Worldpanel. For its part, Enrique Muñoz, Marketing manager of the Huelva cooperative, shared the keys to this achievement in an interview.
According to Muñoz, the recognition comes for the second consecutive year. "We are very proud to be, for the second consecutive year, among the five brands of fruits and vegetables most chosen by Spanish consumers. This study is especially relevant because it measures actual consumer choice in terms of actual purchases: how many households purchase the brand, the frequency, and the volume. It is a true reflection of consumer behavior in the mass market.
"In a highly competitive environment dominated by private label brands, Fresón de Palos has managed to establish itself thanks to the quality and trust we convey in the shopping basket. This achievement is even more significant considering that our presence on shelves is limited to the season, approximately from January to May. Being in this ranking demonstrates that Fresón de Palos not only occupies a place in the minds of consumers, but is actually present on the tables of millions of Spanish homes."
Regarding the keys to the company's strategic activation, they have relied on several key levers. On the one hand, he spoke about constant innovation. "We have a fully operational test farm and we are continually searching for new strawberry and berry varieties that respond to consumer preferences. Secondly, I would highlight our solid brand strategy. Our collaboration with Disney and MARVEL has been key to differentiating ourselves at points of sale and truly connecting with families. It's especially gratifying that parents recognize and appreciate our campaigns focused on encouraging fruit consumption among children."
The third factor, he indicated, is the decisive support by advertising. Something that «"It allows us to directly reach our target audience through television and digital media campaigns, testing innovative formats and reaching those who make the purchasing decision. Specific actions such as collaborations with influencers or our prominent presence at events like the Copa del Rey soccer tournament, along with our social media content strategy, significantly strengthen our strategy."
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, he emphasized "our commitment to quality and sustainability. As a cooperative, we are a large family, a social economy made up of more than 150 farmers, for whom we work every day to obtain fair prices that compensate for the great effort they put in every season, while also caring for our privileged environment. Our firm commitment to sustainability, quality, and innovation includes pioneering methods in biological control, as well as innovative, efficient irrigation systems and a firm social commitment to the 7.000 people who work with us each season. Strawberry of Palos continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark in the Spanish agri-food sector, standing out for its quality, innovation, and sustainable commitment," he concluded.
