The Field & Forum of Mexico has ended with a great closing for the large number of producers and different actors from the blueberry industry that participated in the profitable and massive meeting in Jalisco.

The second day began with a visit to the extensive facilities where the Fall Creek nursery is located, in the town of Tala. During the day, attendees were able to visit different facilities where the company produces, cares for and develops the different varieties of plants in their different stages of development.

Ricardo Márquez, commercial manager of Fall Creek Mexico, told visitors that the facilities have the capacity to produce and house 9.5 million plants and once the expansion that is being built is finished, this figure will be extended to 11 million plants. .

In the nursery premises and later in the visit to the Demo it was possible to observe the production and care of the varieties of the Collection line, Azra, Bianca, Atlas, Valentina and Olympus, and the Sekoya, Pop and Beauty program, among others.

Ricardo Márquez tells us that in the Tala premises, they also produce all the varieties of Driscolls.

“We in Mexico have four production cycles. From January, February and March, then from April to June, from July to September and from October to December. These are the cycles that move our production and determine the willingness of the plants to move on to another stage of care and development."

In Fall Creek they ask: What is the key factor that we consider to have a positive change in blueberries? And the only and total answer is, genetics. They believe that it is essential to improve the quality of the fruit that consumers take home to ensure increased demand and successful sales.

The international event organized by FallCreek ended with a field day and recreation, in which the attendees shared their agronomic and commercial experiences regarding the cultivation of blueberries.
